What strikes me is the mid-summer tan on the man who played in NewJersey. I understand that the camera adds 10 shades, but you look like the drunken zombie of Jim Morrison in blackface.

Bassoon Workshop with JVT

It was a good first session.
We learned a few things.
First that image is everything in music.
Second that Bassoons are very much like pianos, harmonicas, or chalk boards.
And finally that if you let you bones absorb the tones, subsequently consummated lyrics will follow.

This is the Bears starting halfback Cedric Benson. Over the weekend he was charged with BWI and resisting arrest by Texas Boat Police.
Benson claims he was not intoxicated and was abused by the police.
Dragged off his boat and on the ground towards a police squad after being pappersprayed for resisting.

Benson denies it, but I have a strong feeling that his days as a Bear are up.


Thankfully, Jon, we have drafted a hell of a back out of Tulane in the second round named Forte.

Back to these musings, I maintain there aint nuthin wrong with:

• chocolate chips on your cereal
• driving with the top down, heat on
• using your college banner as a beach blanket
• saying "a whole nuther"
• changing into your bathing suit while driving
• tricking children
• to-do lists in the middle of your interview notes
• blowing your nose in the shower
• watching the Jeopardy that's two minutes ahead of the Jeopardy on another channel and impressing yourself with your correct answers on the later one
• no underwear with a skirt
• eating the lb-priced food from the bins while you shop
• making a cheese etc. sandwich in the Dining Hall at lunch to take home for a panino for dinner
• snatching a loaf of VT multigrain from the Dining Hall for said panini
• loving corn dogs
